The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Mark Haddon A quick, engaging read, this book kept my interest from start to finish.

I have limited experience with autism and consequently I have no idea whether Christopher's narrative voice is authentically realised. However, authentic or not, the narrative voice and the novel itself is moving and powerful. As I finished reading the novel, I found myself in tears, haunted not just by Christopher, but also by his parents. In my view, Haddon's ability to make the reader feel what Christopher's parents feel - even though Christopher cannot - is the most signficant achievement of the novel.

I'm so glad that I finally got around to reading this one.
