Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Stephen Fry, J.K. Rowling Three and a half stars really. I have to rate it a little lower than the first Harry Potter, because this one is just not as good. There was still plenty of cleverness and I was certainly entertained. However, I didn't find myself laughing quite as much as I did while reading the first book (and from what I understand I'll be laughing even less the further I get into the series). There were also a few scenes which didn't seem to advance the plot very far and were not so very entertaining in themselves as to justify being dealt with at such great length. One example is Nearly Headless Nick's deathday party: it was fine in concept, but dragged a bit in execution.

Still, this was fun to listen to and Stephen Fry's narration is marvellous. On to number 3!
